Sustainable Agriculture
Activities
(1). Opening up income generating projects such as but not limited to:
(i) poultry farming for youths in the village that will create income for them through the selling of eggs and chickens to local hotels in the nearby towns
(ii) Horticultural farming that has a ready market from the village and nearby town
(iii) Brick making to boost the economic lives because construction work is plenty but contractors are forced to get the bricks from other areas.
(iv) Utilization of Dairy products- organized groups will buy milk from local traders, and make value added products such as Mala, Yoghurt etc and sell to the local hotels and supermarkets
(v) Opening up of groceries nearby urban centers for the selling of horticultural products that will create employment that will facilitate self sustainability.
(2). Creating employment opportunities for the youths through Technical Institute of Science and Technology.
(3.) Establishment of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Resource Centers .
Program areas1. Creating a positive change in mind, approach and plan of self sustainable community, in dealing with the main challenges that pervades daily life and affects everyone, such as indigence, HIV/AIDS and illiteracy.
2. Creating a self sustaining future community through offering sustainable development support for business and income generating activities.
3. Offering quality education to bright orphans and destitute children as a strong foundation for future self sustainability.
4. Providing affordable health care to the poor, especially orphans, widows and the elderly. Part of this effort includes ensuring that all Members know their HIV status, so as to put Love of God Ministry in a better position to offer Anti-retroviral therapy and prevent further dissemination. This is assisting us in monitoring and treating of opportunistic infections of HIV infected individuals.
5. Creating overall greater HIV/AIDS awareness to the population, testing and offering affordable medical support to the HIV victims.
6. Promoting unity and equality in the community
7. Eliminating illiteracy and promote basic education to orphans through vocational training.
8. Engaging in activities which are designed to improve the physical quality of life of the community through water projects, medical assistance and famine relief.
